The Laura Bassi Scholarship: Encouraging Ignored studies across all disciplines
For postgraduate students (master’s and PhD) and early-career academics (within five years of full-time employment), the Laura Bassi Scholarship offers a special chance to get editorial help for their research on understudied subjects in their fields. The Laura Bassi Award was created in 2018 by the Editing Press to celebrate the first female professor in Europe and a trailblazing scientist from the eighteenth century.
Researchers from various academic fields (literature, history, science, engineering, etc.) are eligible to apply for this scholarship program, which offers scholarships three times a year. The scholarship monies are exclusively allocated for editorial help, enabling the recipients to obtain customized aid ranging from editing academic articles and master’s theses to editing doctoral dissertations and dissertations.

Advantages of the Laura Bassi Fellowship: The scholarship is given out in December, April, and August of each year, and it is available to students in all academic fields. The prize itself is fully in the form of editing assistance, in different quantities according to your requirements:
- Graduate students: $750 to $775
- PhD candidates: up to $2,750
- Scholars in their early careers: $500
- These sums represent standard fees for editing scholarly papers, theses, and dissertations.

Who is eligible to apply?
Eligible candidates include those who are in their first five years of employment as academics and those who are enrolled full-time in master’s or doctoral programs. No restrictions apply depending on your department, university, or country.
How to Apply for the Laura Bassi Scholarship:

Application Cost (Selective): The $10 USD application fee contributes to the scholarship’s administration expenses. It is optional to pay this cost.
